4 FAST Cooking Tips !!

                                                  In a HURRY? Use these TIPS!

Tip 1: Use Pre-cooked Meats

When you are in a hurry and you need to cook something that does not take long - DO NOT WORRY!! Just go to your basic grocery shop, and you can just purchase broil hamburger or simmered turkey, both of which are good for fast meat decisions. You can even request additional thick cuts so you can dice it and use in formulas.
 Want to cook a meat dish in summer which takes minutes? Just on your barbecue, skinless chicken bosoms, entire chickens, and half turkey bosoms are the perfect dishes which are easily accessible in numerous grocery stores. Evacuate the skin, then shred or cut and marinade the meat as required for your barbecue dish!
What I found best in my opinion is when I have unexpected visitors coming over, I just go to a local butcher or a local meat shop and they have a wide choice of pre-prepared marinated cuts of meat or chicken breast or thighs. Buy some of those ready-prepared meat and come out a winner in front of your guests!
Also, If you have a much stronger taste for fish, nowadays, fish counters do offer pre-prepared seafood or stuffed calamari/ fish. Just choose your preferred dish, pay, go home and just cook it in a few minutes time saving you some time to maybe watch your favourite film or series!

Tip 2: Have a Main Dish Salad

Primary dish plates of mixed greens are the ideal summer dinner - cool, light, and fast to settle. To prepare a plate of mixed greens is really simple: Open a pack of serving of mixed greens or spinach leaves and fill a dish (obviously if you do not prefer to fill a dish with lettuce and rucola!). At that point toss in whatever your heart desires and that its! Some Helpful tips of what you can add in your salad include: Cheddar bits or any type of cheese that you like, flame broiled chicken, cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, dried cranberries, walnuts, pecans, corn, chickpeas and so on. Later on I will try to include some salad recipes in my food blog.

Tip 3: Make It Vegetarian

One approach to spare time cooking your supper is to skip the meat. Some simple veggie lover dishes can consist of bean and cheddar burritos, vegan burgers (they take around four minutes to cook in a non-stick grilling pan), egg-based dishes like omelettes, and veggie sandwiches including cheddar and/or broiled vegetables will make wonderful vegetarian suppers!

Tip 4: Heat up a Frozen Ready-Made Dish!

Feeling tired and can't bother with the cooking? Use Frozen Meals!! You can discover tasty ready made dishes in numerous grocery stores. There are even awesome and lower-fat ready-made packs for individuals searching for vegan, fish, ethnic food, or other meat choices. These usually can be done in a few minutes and some can be even cooked in the microwave!

Fall Asleep in LESS than 3 Minutes!





                                          Problems in Sleeping?

Do you suffer from insomnia? Or do you find it difficult to fall alseep? No worries!! Sometimes, even I find it difficult to drowse off to Dreamland after a long hectic day at work.

In fact, I frequently find myself wondering and pondering what is the reason that I cannot seem to bring myself to sleep and I might HAVE FOUND a solution! 


I am now using the '4-7-8' method. Sounds strange to you? TRY IT OUT and see if it works for you like its working for me!!


First thing you should do before you use this method is to try NOT TRYING. You might say what is the catch in this? Its pretty simple. Instead of trying to put yourself to sleep, try instead the other way - TRY NOT TO FALL ASLEEP! Try staying with your eyes wide open and not moving at all (YES, you can blink!) And this way you may find that after a certain time, you will start falling asleep much earlier than you used to try and fall asleep before! You can watch a video explaining this here.

Now for the '4-7-8' Method....

What you need to do is pretty EASY:



  • Breathe calmly as much as possible through your nose for 4 seconds
  • Hold your breath for 7 seconds
  • Breathe through your mouth slowly for 8 seconds
Sounds Simple huh?!

You may think that I am joking but try it out and see for yourselves!! Last night, I wasn't even able to finish off the last step before I was snoring my head off!!

Want to know how it works?

Simple Physiology! When you are stressed out or anxious (Especially when the day after you might have an important exam or an interview), the adrenaline in your body increases which in return leads to faster breathing and your heart starts beating faster too. When you are breathing calmly - you are forcing the rhythm of your heart to slow down too - making you feel calmer instantly.

It calms down your mind! Without your knowing, you are concentrating entirely on your breathing. When your central nervous systems slows down any gradual activity, any anxiety that you might have will disappear. 

It's pretty HARMLESS! When performing this exercise, you are relaxing your whole body and you achieve a complete state of relaxation. The speed that it works can be compared to an anesthetic as it acts so fast that you find yourself dreaming in minutes!

Are YOU getting enough sleep?



       BAD Sleep Might be DAMAGING your BRAIN!....


Hi guys! Hope that you are all fine! I have a little question:

ARE you Sleeping enough?

Apparently, lack of sleep has been found to have damaging effects to our brains, so it is important to find ample time to sleep more!

Unfortunately, in today's life, its not time running after us but its us rushing against time! I am quite a busy person myself and life has become hectic in its own way and nothing can slow it down. YES, it is the sad reality of today.

Bad sleep has many diverse negative effects on your health. Some of these include:
Deposits of toxin protein beta-amyloid shown in red in
the brain of the right side is the result of poor sleep.
On the left hand side are healthy well rested brainwaves
and an absence of beta-amyloid. 

  • insomnia
  • depression
  • inability to perform well
  • memory loss
  • increase in cancer risk

It has also been found that lack of sleep results in neurotoxins being built up in your brain, which can be linked to Alzheimer's disease.

Sleep provides a power cleanse to your brain as it helps to wash away toxins during the night and prevent them from potentially destroying your brain cells and from building up.

When memory tests were performed on healthy adults when they were in an alert state and had these tests done again after a night's sleep, it was found that those who slept poorly had a poor performance in these tests.



Starting from today, if you want to start making a small positive impact in your life, just make it a point to sleep earlier, switch off your wifi and your electrical devices and let sleep cleanse your brain, freeing it from the toxins built during the day. Even though these effects resulting from not getting enough sleep are scary enough to leave you thinking at night, the positive thing about it is that it can be changed.

3Kg LOSS in 3 Days


                                                               Lose Weight Fast!



This 3 day diet is Effective but in the meantime you should at all cost avoid consuming foods such as pasta, sugary foods, salt, fast food or meat with fats, fried food and fried fries.

Take note of this diet:

Day 1:

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs, 2 tomatoes and a cup of green tea without Sugar

Lunch: 2 egg whites, 120g baked or boiled white fish and one glass of green tea

Snack: 1 apple

Dinner: Steamed carrots, broccoli or any other veggies such as cauliflower, green beans etc with another cup of green tea

Day 2:

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs, 1 banana and a cup of green tea

Lunch: 2 egg whites, 120g of boiled chicken without skin and a glass of green tea

Dinner: 1 slice of rusk, 120ml of cottage cheese and 1 glass of low fat milk

Day 3:

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs and 1 glass of tomato juice

Lunch: 2 egg whites, 120g of red cooked meat and a cup of green tea

Dinner: 2 baked potatoes, lettuce and one glass of green tea

Hi everyone! How are you all doing?
This post is to tell you im Sorry for not being around these last two days! I have been really sick and its today that I can bear writing this post and standing the light in my eyes!

You see when a person is sick all perceptions about life and health changes! I can say I just experienced that... 3 days ago I was fine and all I had was a start of a small cough. Then I woke up on Saturday all dizzy and my cough worsened a lot during the night. During the day the pain in my head increased so much that I had no idea of what I was saying..or what was happening except that I just wanted to rip my head off.

To cut things short during my time resting at home I couldn't help but certain thoughts came up my mind. When we are all fine, we tend to take life for granted and maybe even take for granted the people around us.. But no one knows when its our last day here on Earth!

2 Days ago I was so much in pain that I thought I was going to die..and during that very moment I was like asking myself  questions like: "When did you last tell the people close to you that you love them?" "When was the last time you visited grandma?" "If You had to die, do you have any regrets?"

And that is what I am going to write about today. Sometimes we keep postponing not visiting our loved ones as we keep saying that they will be with us for another day... But in reality, what guarantee do we have that they will live till the next day?!

Ask yourself when was the last time that you visited your grandparents because you are too 'busy' with life? I myself do it because I am a really busy person but lets face it.. When will I visit my grandma? When she will not be with us anymore? No this is not the way of living! We should cherish our loved ones as if it is their last minute on Earth. In fact that is this year's resolution - to give more time to the people close to heart ... To my mother who raised me these last 23 years, to my grandma who is always ready to greet me with a smile, to my friends whom I dont see frequently as much as I like, to my loved ones to show them they are appreciated for being in my life and also to myself because only God knows when it was the last time that I truly gave some time for myself!

Is there someone that you haven't seen for so long? Or that you haven't talked in years? Go change this while you still have time on Earth. Be truly Yourself and hold your circle of friends, loved ones and family members close to your heart as they are the ones who will be there when the rest of the world bails out on you!

I hope I didnt bother you with my ranting but I just wanted to share with you my thoughts x

10 Muscle Stretching Exercises - WITH PICTURES!!

Year 2016 has started and the first month is nearly already over! Most of you most probably have started their diet didn't you? 

Here below find some simple examples of exercises with pictures and you can learn which muscles you are stretching. Also this can be used as a guide to those wanting to stretch a little further! :)

The pictures found in this post are made by Vicky Timon and James Kilgillon. Vicky Timon is the author of "Encyclopedia of Pilates Exercises" and a yoga expert whilst Mr.Kilgallon is the main creator of Mazio's Body Maintenance Program.

Exercises 1 and 2:



1. Camel Pose. Muscles Stretched: Rectus Abdominus, External Obliques


  • Highly Recommended for people with high flexibility
  • If you are experiencing problems with your neck, do not drop your head back!
2. Wide Forward Hold. Muscles Stretched: Adductors

  • Great for stretching adductors and hamstrings
  • Start with knees bend and holding spine straight



3. Frog Pose. Muscles Stretched: Adductors

  • Mostly aimed for the groin area but can feel pressure on the knees as well
  • Perform it on a soft surface
  • Rest hands and knees and widen knees until you feel groin muscles stretching
4. Wide Side Lunge Pose. Muscles Stretched: Adductors

  • Hold legs straight as possible

5. Butterfly Stretch. Muscles Stretched: Adductors

  • If you want to stretch the groin muscles better - hold feet closer to your body and make sure that feet are far from hips 

6. Forearm Extensor Stretch. Muscles Stretched: Forearm Extensor


  • You can also develop this stretch by touching the tips of your fingers together in the shape of a tea cup!

7. Lateral Side Flexion of the Neck. Muscles Stretched: SCM - sternocleidomastoid
  • Prolong neck as much as possible
8. Neck Rotation Stretch. Muscles Stretched: SCM

  • If you want to perform a deeper stretch you need to put pressure with the opposite hand from the direction you are rotating



9. Neck Extension Stretch. Muscles Stretched: SCM

  • Put your hands on hips and spine straight
  • Tilt your head back
10. Lateral Slide Flexion of the Neck with Hand Assistance. Muscles Stretched: SCM

  • Prolong neck as possible
  • In this way you can create consistent tension down the arm and neck.

                  NEW PLANET might have been found!

Ever stop and think whether there might be any other creatures or beings lurking in the never ending space?
Do you think that we are the only 'humanity' that exists? Nahh I do not think so...! 


IF we were actually the ONLY beings existing in the vast expanding universe, then honestly - SPACE is just wasted! For a strange reason, I sometimes think that we might be the result of some alien experimentation as coming to think of it...There have been thousands of UFO reports since ancient times. Some have been ruled out either as fake, edited, mistaken photos, optical illusions of planes and balloons etc but there are still a majority of all the UFO reports that no one have an answer to them. 

Do you think that Governments are not hiding any extra terrestrial information from us?! Take for example AREA51 in America - one of the planet's most kept secret. Easy Ways to Get what You want from Life

  

Everyone of us desire an easy life. Who would enjoy going to work when you can easily sit at home relaxing by the pool with a cocktail in your hands? I guess many of us can relate to this.
Ever wondered how your life would change if you actually become the winner of a powerball lottery? How your life problems would be solved instantly? But some might disagree, supporting the fact that now you would be the next potential 'target' for thieves and gold diggers. Some might even say that winning the lottery is an unfortunate event as many people will end up broke more than they were originally due to excessive spending on detrimental factors such as drugs, gambling and some end up spending thousands on security personnel for their close relatives. It all depends how you look at the situation... And how much are you ready to act upon it. 
Did you ever notice that sometimes some of our 'Dreams' do actually come true? Why some of them do come true more than others?  


One of the most important thing to keep in mind is that to get what you really want is to sit down and realise how much you really want that specific goal to happen and what are you going to do about that. 

Some of these goals are actual problems that leave our minds pondering at night on how to solve them. These will leave us asking ourselves why it didn't happen yet or what actually are we doing wrong.

NO there is nothing wrong with you. Sometimes we dont get what we want fast because we dont put much effort on what we are going to do about it but we focus on the negative part. For example:
If a person wants to live a debt free life but he/she spends the majority of time focusing on unpaid bills  instead of ways to generate more income, then that person is prolonging to attract fresh new ideas.

So what can we do about that? Find below some tips for your perusal:

• Determine what you want from Life and keep note
To get a clear insight of what you truly want from life, sit down and relax, clear your mind and focus on your intentions and jot them down

• Always progress in your goals
Remember a journey always starts with a single step! Each day work on your goal and take action whenever you can. Dont give up because you only see a small progress - your future self will thank you for that! That way your goal can be within reach... Then all that will be left is Time and Patience

• Imagine how your life will look like if you reach that Goal
Visualising your target and goal and replaying it in your mind over and over again will help you having a positive attitude in reaching that aim. This can even help you reach your target even faster as having a positive mind = more effort and pushing yourself to the limit 

• Don't be hard on yourself
You cannot do miracles. Everything will take time and sometimes we tend to give up if we do not see any progress. But hang on there, release your mind and don't focus much on expectations as these might lead to disappointments. On the other hand enjoy this journey as it will lead you to where you want to be.

• Have Faith in Faith
Not having your heart and mind set on what you truly want is not going to get you anywhere. Have faith that things will work out without rushing things. Remember everything happens for a reason - if something does not work out it does not mean that it will not happen.. it simply means that there is something better in store for you!

To get what you want...is to accept where you are...and where you want to go.

Thoughts...? Feelings....?



Thoughts and Feelings make One Ponder....


This is only a jumbled mixture of some thoughts that are running in my head at this present moment, currently 3:!5am in the morning.

I want to try and understand the meaning of LIFE. Do we live to die? OR do we die to live?

Then again what is love? Is it just a feeling? Or is it something that changes our perceptions, feelings and lives forever?

Love?
The one thing that can tear you to pieces and can never heal from the scars that one person you loved with all of your heart inflicted on you?.

Then some might contradict and say that love makes them feel wonderful again. True … if you have found the right one.
Else no matter how much you try, your mind, your heart, your feelings will all be directed to that one person…. That one person you gave your heart to... The one who made it whole.

And what do we say about feelings? Why cant we always be open about what we feel? Why do we have sometimes to bottle our feelings inside just not to hurt other people’s feelings? Or do we keep feelings to ourselves in fear of the answers others can give us if we do actually express them?

Senses? Well we all know that we have 5 senses…why cant we have a sixth sense? A sense that we could predict what is going to happen with the choices that we make? Its true choices do define us yes, but yet to what extent?

What I learnt up till now, is that sometimes, to keep moving on in life, you can only trust yourself and your feelings. Only you know what you truly feel, and no one can ever understand you fully as much as you can understand yourself.

Also, what about trust? How many times have we trusted people to get betrayed again? Why cant we ever learn?

Yourself? The being inside one’s body…the ‘self’ that controls your body…your feelings, your choices, your mind, your soul...

What do you readers understand by all this? Does it actually make sense? 
What is your perception of your own live in general? Are you happy with your own life?
